LJ out, Twitter out, Infinite Jest
LJ was down this morning* and as usual I freaked and kept hitting refresh. Those LJ pellets, they keep pulling me back. Twitter** was also down, but ::shrug:: it's obvious I'm not getting the amounts of fun out of Twitter that makes it a must thing each morning.
For a novel that I got motivated to read because it was an internet bookclub kind of thing, I haven't been checking out that much of what is going on with #infsum and the Infinite Summer blog, although I just found the more interesting (to me) Infinite Detox blog.
There is an LJ com that I joined, although the thing is dead, but even if it wasn't I don't know if I could participate. I tend to suck both at com participation and talking about why I like something. But I'm enjoying Infinite Jest very much. It's kind of a relief, since a lot of times supposedly fantastic novels turn out to be a dissapointment, with characters that I don't care about. The feeling I'm getting from Don Gately I last had reading The Little Friend, which left me wondering what kind of person Harriet turned out to be after everything that happened. I missed her for a long time after I finished The Little Friend.
*It's down AGAIN?
LiveJournal may be unresponsive or slow to load due to an ongoing attack against our network and servers.
**Sometimes it feels that if there is a semi-popular service out there I probably have an account. I'm compulsive like that.

I had my LJ account for a year at least before I ever used it! It was kind of funny when I see that my LJ was created in 2001, but my first post was around 2002-2003.
