I got a bit more with the program for the season here. It's taking some trust that they're really going somewhere with the hints they're throwing into the writing. Please let there be some kind of payoff.
Way to squash fanon there with Dean having very little baby knowledge left over from taking care of Sammy. I totally buy caretaker Dean when he was an older kid, say about 8 or 9, but those stories of diaper changer 5 year old Dean made me wonder if people remember being kids themselves. Sheesh, what if some of these writers actually had to change diapers as little kids? :(
Actually fanon destroying moments in SPN remind me of this ackward conversation with a woman at Escapde about 4 years ago, who insisted in this incredibly specific background for the Winchesters. It made me boggle. She was so adamant about every single detail that I learned to not speak to her very quickly. It was like real live wank, but less with the funny and more with the scary. I wonder if she still watches the show or if her head exploded around season 3.
The previews made me happy, but I don't want to get too excited.
