Winchesters and Mulders

This morning I've kept thinking how fucked and dark the family dynamics are for SPN and how the last time I was so much into a series was also another show with a fucked up family, The X-Files. The Mulders provided layers and layers of angst and betrayal and I ate that stuff up with a big giant spoon. I've enjoyed happy shows, I'm enjoying Merlin and for a while I could not get enough of SGA and SV, but the dark stuff was not the center of those stories, so much as SPN and XF. It's not the horror stories that keep me wanting more, it's those messed up families.
