I have Trekked! Joy!

We're in Seattle, but had to take in Star Trek. Or I should say *I* needed to see it asap and yes, I was not disappointed. This is the most fun I've had at a summer movie in years. It beats the great fun I had watching Iron Man and really, I can't remember the last time when a sci-fi or fantasy movie has been up to this level of hype. Maybe "Fellowship of the Ring" - yeah, that about feels right. Although completely different in style and the first LotR movie had an almost palpable love of the world and characters. But wow, this was FUN.

It is a lovely weekend to be in Seattle, after our rainy and miserable week! Although I would rather be watching Trek again now instead of gardening.

We've really lucked out so far with the weather! Beautiful! But even so we went into the theatre in the middle of a lovely morning, because I was so excited to see it I could not wait til we got home. So it downtown in a pretty nice looking mall on Pine street :D

Yes, this is one of those that demand a rewatch, because it's such fun and has so many things going on. Wow, time to revisit some dusty canon I had in the corner of my imagination and cross my fingers for some fic :)
