I just heard it! Wacky that there was no real commentary on the slash, just mostly "how interesting".

It did have an air of moving right along the story, not dismissing slash, but just counting it as one more aspect of fan culture.

Also, this is the first time I hear mention of the fan base that kept the show alive in pop culture as consisting mainly of women.
