Captain America

If I don't think about it too hard, Captain America was a lot of fun. The idealized 40s look is perfect eye candy, and there are funny lines, with Chris Evans looking pretty, a cool heroine played by someone I'd never seen before and Tommy Lee Jones being Tommy Lee Jones.

I'm very interested now in seeing if it's possible to pull all The Avengers characters together into one story without it being a disjointed mess.

I think Joss can make it work, mostly based on how he made Firefly work. All those characters were so different and there was so much going on but, at least for me, it feel cohesive. So, knowing that, I think he might have a better feel for the ensemble piece than some other directors.

But I could be wrong. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed for a pile of awesome. :)

I'm so crossing my fingers! I know that Whedon can do funny & can do ensamble cast, but I worry how meddlesome the studio might be, and I don't see Whedon as having as much power as someone like -er- Cameron. Who, OK, would make an extremely shitty character movie, but they'd probably wouldn't mess with him. I am rooting for Whedon to pull it off though, so I'm looking forward to finding out how all this works out. Maybe, just maybe, if this works we can finally have a Joss Whedon Wonder Woman movie.

Hayley Attwell was playing Peggy (Peggy? Yes? I'm remembering that right, right? Lol). I LOVE her in stuff from that general period. She was great in Brideshead revisited.

Otherwise, I wasn't in love with the movie. :(

I went to IMDB to find out more about her, because I liked her and was pleased to see she was in the BR film version, which I never saw for some unknown reason. It's funny how now, after some time has passed since it's release, I'm finding some of the actors on that movie intriguing and I want to see it asap.
